10 Things I Hate About You ft. Jack Bevan

Jack is a polite, affable man who plays drums for Foals. When Jack’s not behind the drum kit, you’ll probably find him in the kitchen - he spent most of last Spring at Ireland’s Ballymaloe Cookery School. He likes ordering more food than he can finish, has a soft spot for riding in the back of bakkies (that’s South African for pickup trucks), and occasionally you’ll find him DJing. He is also surprisingly good at bowling and lives with a ragdoll cat named Monty.

3. First-ever concert, age, and location

I think I actually played in it. It was a battle of the bands, and I was in a punk band. I was 16, I think. We had a 15-minute slot and we played 14 songs. We didn’t win.

Not a bad take, but I’m terrified of AI.

5. Go-to recipe

Meera Sodha’s Vegan Yaki Udon. I’m not a vegan, but this is so good I could be.

6. What perfume/cologne do you wear?

I really like L'Artisan Parfumeur Tenebrae.

7. What’s your favourite plant?

I love my Euphorbias.

8. Seaside cottage or a cabin in the woods?

Well, it depends on the woods, if there’s a lake, I’ll take that.

9. What is your favourite bread?

Tiger Bread

10. Go-to-hangover order or death row meal?

Same answer for either: sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice and a sticky toffee pudding for dessert.
